OK I am now what some folk call old and I expect perhaps less tolerant and maybe even grumpy..well I dont see that of myself, certainly I feel I am positive and cheerful but must concede that 74 is indeed old.

Yet I seem to notice there are more silly people than ever before. I always thought I was the one who was out there, primarily because of my obsession with trying to work out how gravity worked, although I never claimed to have a theory but only " an idea"...( And yes I know all about General Relativity).

But it seems that outside of hospital and this place finding a logical rational person is a big ask.

So one friend on hearing that my carer had her covid shot became alarmed and told her that it makes your blood magnetic and tried to demonstrate by holding a fork up to my carers arm to show it would stick there.
The fact a fork does not respond to a magnet did not enter her mind. But a good friend had it happen...mmmm..and so my carer in her eyes was the exception cause it happened to a friend.

AND she is not the only one who come out with this sort of nonsense...what has happened to thinking things thru?

What is so hard to understand that if you make a claim you need evidence...no evidence and a belief is not worth the hot air expended to utter it...

So am I just unlucky to be encountering an excess of these people or can you, for the purpose of making an interesting thread, tell us of something similar...flat Earth stories will be welcome.
