Mysterious red object over Brisbane September 25

Maybe someone can help us. On Saturday night at around 7.10 pm we observed a very high constant red light traveling at very high speed over Brisbane. It travelled from the north west to the south east and was traveling at a very high altitude and very fast, at least twice as fast as the ISS travels.

The red light didn't blink on or off at any time on and it was certainly not an airliner, as at the same time we observed a commercial plane in the sky and typically their lights blink on and off, this red light stayed on constantly and was much, much higher in the sky than a plane and traveling extremely fast.

Also, when the object had traveled approximately three quarters over the sky to the south east it suddenly stopped and quite quickly changed direction two or three times, before recommencing its passage to the south east, quickly disappearing beyond the horizon.

All the time this was happening there were major fireworks happening over central Brisbane for the annual River Fire event.

Help!!

Cheers
Brian
