Plato, Archimedes, Copernicus, Atlas & Hercules, Gassendi, Clavius & Tycho, Schikard,

Here are anther series of lunar features from Brisbane 20th Aug 2021.
  • Plato
  • Archimedes, Aristillus, Autolycus
  • Copernicus
  • Atlas, Hercules
  • Clavius, Tycho
  • Schikard, Heinzel
  • Schiller, Longomontanus
  • Gassendi, Mare Humorium

This time I used the ASI 174 MM with the 2” Tele Vue PowerMate x2.0 on the Mewlon 210.

The ASI174 has a Pixel size of 5.86 microns so this gives me a imaging multiplication factor of 23/5.86 = 4, which is less than the often quoted x5 to x7.

Here is a link to a recent post with similar images taken with the same set up, but using the ASI 290 MM camera with 2.9 micron Pixels.
