help with identifying a parrot

I have seen a M/F pair of small parrots in my yard twice in about a year or so.
I can find no parrot/ parakeet in my comprehensive book of Aus birds that looks anything like them.
The female has a dullish red cap and neck, with a distinct yellow collar reminiscent of a ringneck parrot [aka 28], pastille green breast with a bit
brighter green wings.
The male has stunningly bright red cap and breast, and the red extends over more of the body. It also has the yellow collar, but like the red it is very bright. Unlike the other parrot varieties we see, they are flighty in the extreme, the slightest movement catches their eye they are gone in a flash.
Can anyone help? Unfortunately, both times that they appeared I didn't have a camera [or phone] handy.
