Promising days are turning to terrible nights here in the Southern Highlands.
I am getting older so do not persevere if the skies are no good by 10pm.
The past two days have seen terrific blue skies - but after dark seeing and transparency just awful. I put both my 18" and 106mm APO out last night - stars were blobs in both. Halos around 3rd magnitude stars - where is all this vapour coming from?
