Thanks all. for most of the time the seeing wasnt too bad. Though from time to time the guide star would turn into a boiling blob.
The disadvangate of an object this far south is the slight red and blue tinge on opposite sides of stars, atmospheric dispersion, as it is so low in the sky even when near the zenith.
It will be a good challenge for large scope users, 2+ metre focal length would do it justice
