Lunar Vistas on 20th July ( Apollo 11 Tribute )

Haven’t imaged the moon for nearly a year so thought I’d post some Lunar Vistas on this historic date when 52 years ago 600 million people stopped for a few minutes and witnessed one of humankind’s greatest achievements of landing on the Moon

Images captured with an 8” f5 GSO newt , Skywatcher EQ6-R mount, Canon 600D DSLR and a full compliment of Televue Powermates with Televue T ring adapters
Location South Coast NSW
NexDome Obs

Frames focused and captured with BYEOS
Stacked in Autostakkert 3
Processed in Registax 6

Unfortunately the Apollo 11 landing site and surrounding area was in shadow with a 68% waxing Moon but the Mare Ibrium and Mare Insularum areas have some interesting large craters ( Copernicus , Archimedesand Plato ) and mountain ranges like the Appenines

During imaging the moon was descending below 45degrees which meant a fair bit of atmospheric instability but managed to process something decent out of the data

Comments welcome
Thanks
