Thanks Guys, the binos are Meade 10x50's they have served me well.
It was very low and hard to spot in the Suns red glare post sunset. It sank in down and set very much like a planet after the sun. In the same areas were the sun set.
But Paul your post in the Photos section has got be stumped this cant be Mercury it set to quickly after Sunset to be Mercury maybe it was Mars that I saw. And I got Mercury in the photos on Sunday.
