Yes, that is quite possible. Unfortunately for my application, its placement on the legs of the tripod does not imply the spread or angle of the legs will be the same. I was hoping to CNC a platform that will be the same for both EQ5 and EQ6.
I hope to get a look at an EQ6 mount one day.
