thanks guys

yeah no guiding ezy, i dont have a guidescope yet,

i put the scope out again last night and did longer exposures again,

i can clearly now see now there is some effects of error, in the mount, from each 3min+ frame to frame there is a slight zig zag in motion, maybe this is the PEC?

still works fine for taking pictures but when the mount hits and error point while exposed it results in a picture with error,

i have found that when i push my frame times over 3min mark and higher it increases the chance of bad over good photo ratios

for example, if i take frames at 3mins, i might have a ratio of 25good photos out of 30photos

if i push the frames up to 4mins, 15 good photos out of 30photos.

etc

and the longer the frames the lower the chance of sucessfull photos over error photos

ie the longer the frames, the higher the chance to hit an error point during a frame.

i think i could record this infact.

so if i want to push for longer exposures without guiding, i have to go even longer over all frame count to get as many sucessfull frames out.

get what im saying?
