All I can suggest is to remember the saying "a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing".
And sometimes it is easy to overlook the fact that perhaps a professional cosmologist may understand things a little better than a layman.

And more than that to recognise that the merit of accepting the dictates of the scientific method on the balance of things is the most desirable system we have as humans. A scientific theory is so much more than the term we use in everyday speak and it is perhaps best to think of scientific theory as meaning "a rock solid fact evidenced by repeatable tests and experiment that can only be overturned by a better theory which takes us further than the theory to be replaced whilst also explaining everything to greater satisfaction than the theory to be replaced"...and also to remember that one can destroy that theory if you can come up with something better.

Now I totally think the concept of dark matter is wrong however to offer a theory that establishes an alternative is for me impossible and so far for everyone else on the planet... sure you can have alternative ideas and what could seem reasonable critism but coming up with a better theory requires just more than a simple statement...you should take the time to read the Wiki entry re The Philosophy of Science and Karl Popper...I dont get too worried and hold the belief that the truth may evade humans and it may never be known to us.

As to getting together it will be a little way off as I still have not recovered sufficient to drive unfortunately.

And that 12 inch ..it seems the guy I offerred it to does not want it so in time I will arrange to get it to the fire shed so you can have it..the mirror needs redoing but even as is it is usable...
