Obviously this is important, since you want the cleanest energy source possible for the EV. However, these comparisons often forget: the true cost of producing the ICE fuel, the pollution released (both deliberate and accidental), the health effects and more. Even without improving our current energy production sources for electricity, a switch to EVs is much better than ICE overall. And every improvement in clean energy production moves the needle over to EVs further.
