As an IT & Development group manager, my simple rule of thumbs are these:

1) Don't try it on a mission-critical machine.

2) DO TRY IT - because by not getting in now you may be accused of sticking your head in the sand - it will come, so why wait? I'd rather be informed prior to when the final product ships, because you know that your customers are going to try it as soon as it's available.
