.31 arc sec/pixel is very undersampled and you would be losing sensitivity.
You'd be better off using 2x2 and getting .62 which is also about as low as you want to go unless you have a night of very good seeing.
For guiding have a go at using PHD 2 multistar guiding. Its getting a lot of compliments.
