Superior Conjunction of Venus

Venus is currently passing the Sun on the far side, at less than 1°22' separation from the solar disk's centre. We recorded the event using 2 scopes, 2 cameras, some mylar film and a moving dome slot to help block the sun when looking at Venus. Disks of both objects and the "field" were acquired, processed, mapped, scaled and recombined into the attached view. Rotated SOHO image for illustration (Credit: NASA/ESA)
Edit: Have updated the Venus disk by blurring it very slightly
