For PHD2, I don't use the ASCOM driver, I use the native ZWO driver.
There's a small checkbox you can select to make sure you have the right camera in use for guiding and as the default for that profile.
When I first got the ASI2600, it too suddenly became the default camera in PHD2, so I had to manually change it to the 290MM. Ever since, it's worked fine.
