Glen,
Things are moving quickly at Space X
This booster is absolutely enormous
I’ve been reading some data on Super heavy and the stats are ridiculous
Total thrust for an interplanetary mission at lift off is estimated at 7.5 million kilograms or 16 million pounds
Saturn 5 was 7.6 million pounds to lift 130 tons to orbit
I’m assuming that Super heavy can lift in excess of 150 tons to orbit ?
I’ve visited the Kennedy Space Centre back in 2018 for 4 days and saw pad 39A where the Saturn 5 and most Shuttle missions were launched
I really can’t imagine Space X Super Heavy at an estimated 16 million pounds of thrust ( twice the power of Saturn 5 ) being launched from this site
Is there another site Space X have in mind to launch this interplanetary behemoth ?
Martin
