I bought this late November last year to use with my ES82 30mm eyepiece.
It produces ultra strong contrast of nebulae against my Bortle 5 skies and I really enjoyed exploring the Milky Way and LMC with it. O-III regions jumped out like fruit on a tree. However I also own a 1.25" O-III filter and am a bit short on cash at the moment, so I can't really justify owning two filters.
From what I've read on the internet this filter is also narrow enough for basic astrophotographic work.
