When I was a kid......1960’s
We walked to school
No computers, calculators
No mobile phones
Played cricket in the street with a fruit box
Made billy carts
Went down to the golf club looking for lost balls, so we could sell them to golfers to get enough money for ice creams.
Watched the call up for the Vietnam war on B/W telly, if you were 18 and your birthday came up... bye
Watched man land on the moon LIVE at school.
Parents had a red VW beetle.
Didn’t know anyone who had an inground pool.
Ooh cracker night November, kids could buy whatever they wanted
It was a far more innocent time, and the older I get, the better it was.
