Meade De-Rotator removes field rotation to enable longer astro imaging times when in Altaz mode. No need to Polar Align.

The counterweight sets enables the scope to be properly balanced. When attaching the De-Rotator and camera equipment the scope needs to be balanced to allow more accurate tracking/guiding without putting too much strain on the motors.

The counterweight bar holes measure 460mm centre to centre, one is elongated lengtways by 1cm. I believe this will fit onto either a 10 inch or 12 inch Meade at the lower end. However I suggest you check your scope to make sure this will fit correctly.
