Hi Philip, this is a really excellent result for the aperture. Did you use a UV/IR cut filter? This should help for the colour camera. Colour balance looks a bit red just now, may be worth adjusting a little?
One thing you did get as well is the developing dust storm in Mariner Valley, which has been prominent in a few images over the last couple of days, well done!
I'm pretty sure the grid is a Registax sharpening artefact - can be cleared with a 'despeckle' or other noise reduction process
