I have a new Ryzen 3970x machine . I was actually after the 3960...but the supplier could not obtain that decidedly more affordable CPU option in a reasonable time frame.
Suffice to say the
Ryzen 3970x blows my other fairly new i7 out of the water and even makes the latest i9 intel chips look slovenly.
