Hi Marc and thanks for looking. I am using a Lunt LS60THa that is native F8.3. With the 2.5X Powermate am now at 1250mm F/L F20.8
I had wondered about needing flats as I have read that they can make for improvement but have not bothered at this stage, though I am noticing some uneven illumination across the disc. May well try this in coming weeks.
