The telescope was initially bought in July 2019 from Bintel by another member here on IIS. I bought it off him in July 2020 to complement my refractor and get a better access to planetary targets. Upon reception I noticed a small defect in the tube. It did not affect the views but I definitely wanted this fixed.
The original buyer reached out to Bintel and we sent in the scope under warranty.
Celestron replaced the tube with a entirely brand new one (only the original dovetail remains). I used it a couple times after getting the replacement but in the meantime while the scope was away for a couple months I realised the refractor was just a better size for me - I do grab and go mostly and find it an easier package to carry in one go.
I have all the original boxes and packing material of course.
I think this is a fantastic deal given the above mentioned and also the fact you are getting about $300 worth of accessories included with the Crayord focuser and the dew shield.
