I retired with 20,000 hours as a pilot...but I guess I'm an "honorary" flight engineer....as QF gave me a restricted flight engineer endorsement on the B747.
The proper engineers, to a man, on the B747, always knew where the beer was cold, food was excellent and were accepting of ladies with interesting faces...bless 'em.
