Hi guys - making animated GIFs is easy - there's lots of different software around for it, but I use the GIMP, cause it's free, and doesn't have some of the limits of other software.
e.g. you don't have to have all the images the same size in your animation, the GIMP will automatically crop the larger ones down to size.
Also, you can move, resize and apply any of the colour tools to each frame, whenever you want, before you save it.
If you search around you can find tutorials on it.
