Thank you Tony, Peter, JP and Raymo.
Always learning.
JP - As Raymo said, 2070 is blue/green and for that reason I think it’s a wonderful target for beginners because it’s bright but also you can get a really beautiful image with an unmodded camera. That is the reflection parts of the Nebula which are abundant. The heavy red hue in mine is because of my modded camera but that is because it picks up the Ha in the region. The abundance of both colors in this Nebula and the high dynamic range between the core and the feint filliments actually makes this a harder Nebula to balance in full spectrum in my opinion.
As far as the mount goes, I couldn’t be happier. It was well worth the hours and days I put in doing the tuning and all the testing I did. The RMS was around .6 for most of it which was great but it’s how quickly it corrects/responds that made it most worth the effort. It’s carrying far more than most would recommend including myself and yet it seems to be dialed in really well.
Thank you all again.
