I am a fan of guitar solos- not the twiddle per second Ywingie type stuff, more the melodious.
Two favourites -
the guitar solo in "I don't want it" from the album Quebec by Ween-great tone.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoAJolzI5Ms
And "impossible Germany" by Wilco
on this they look like a bunch of Dads rockin' out!

My Morning Jacket - Dondante, incredible live guitar work- saw them in Sydney and had to leave the next day very early to get back to work in Tas, worth it though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3MZOGqe18Y

(though I do still love listening to Stevie's work on old Zappa albums!)
Sorry for hijacking thread, got a puppy so up all night last night and a bit frayed now!!
Thanks Graham for the great links, and speaking of memorable concerts, May 18th 1973 Earls Court London. Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon, unforgettable. Has to be my favourite concert amongst many.
