...and a starless version.
My first attempt at doing a starless image in fact - is it more art than science? Don't know! but it sure is an amazing object and the inter-galactic cloud features of M16 are really amazing and 3D like.
As per original image made up of 27 hours of Ha. Oiii, Sii with an AP900 mount, 9.5" CDK, AS1600mm camera. Used a variety of methods for this including star masks, PI and tone mapping in Photoshop.
