The Nebula itself has good colour and detail.
And yes, you will have to do your research to manage the background, and noise reduction in APP.
Using PI, I took your image and extracted the luminance.
Then used it as a mask and reduced the background lightness, without affecting the nebula.
Followed by a simple noise reduction.
