This mirror was made in the year 2000 by Mark Suchting. Most would say he makes the highest quality mirrors in Australia. The mirror was made at this focal ratio to enable the use of a small secondary mirror that enables very high contrast images. The scope was absolutely fantastic for planetary and lunar work. The mirror has actually been in storage for about 15 years unused. It was aluminised with a quartz overcoat but due to it’s age I’d say it needs a fresh coat. See the small loss of the coating at about the 7 o’clock position in one of the pics. Price $400 plus postage. Happy to drop off in Canberra if needed.
