There is a huge difference between the 10 and the 12 inch Meade LX200 in terms of weight. I cannot find separate figures for just the top half for the 12 inch (ie without the tripod), but the total weight for the 12 inch is 150lbs, whereas the 10 inch is 122lbs, with the heaviest part of the 10 inch weighing only 62lbs.

I have never had a problem setting up the 10 inch LX200 by myself, indeed I have never had or needed anyone to help me, and it can comfortably be carried 50m or so to a suitable observing location.

I have seen some 12" owners really struggling with the weight of theirs, though. One of my considerations in buying the 10" over the 12" was this very issue of portability. You have made a great choice, Odlaw!
