Just wondering if I can get an opinion from the more experienced users out there.
I received a new refractor two days ago, just opened it today and saw what looks like a scratch or something on the objective lens
.
I want to return it, but is this acceptable in the astro equipment world or am I right to send it back?
I understand that dirt etc on the objective isn't always noticeable in images as it is probably out of focus, but still, its brand new out of the box.
I have two pictures, from the front and from the focuser.
