108 hours to conjunction

Venus 30th May
Under 8 degrees from the Sun (less than the width of a fist at arms length), just 0.8% illuminated, and the cusps of the crescent extend about 235 degrees (2/3 of the way) around the planet.
I had to create an extension sunshield to stop sunlight getting down the scope, and took other precautions to avoid damage to eyes or equipment. I'm not kidding when I say don't try this at home kids unless you know what you're doing! Definitely my last Venus of this apparition, a bit of adrenaline going on for this one...

200mm Newtonian for this (chickened out of using the C14), ASI290MM, IR642nm filter.
