Thanks Jon, I wouldn't say I'd planned the shot for a while, maybe for 4 hrs. My wife and I had a walk around the wetlands earlier in the day because it was such a beautiful day. I said to her this would make a really nice nightscape photo if I came back later tonight and took the Milky Way rising, so I did!
The artificial lights actually helped compose the shot better than I expected.
