I have an 8" f6 imaging Newt for sale.
It is as per here:

It was custom built by Cris Ellis at Astronomy Alive about 10 years ago.
It has a Pyrex 8" mirror and large secondary for imaging.
The focuser is a JMI Crayford type costing many 100s of dollars.
It has
high quality Parallax tube rings with ADM saddle plates also costing many 100s of dollars.
Inside all the scope it has Carl Zeiss flocking paper.
There are 2 different spotting scopes that can go with it as seen in the pics.
I now use a 10" f4 scope for imaging but I haven't had time for 3 years.
Therefore the 8" f6 is for sale.
If any interest is shown I would be prepared to take detailed photos
of the scope as requested.
My advice would be that this scope would be better set up as a planet killer by
installing a smaller secondary mirror for more contrast.
The secondary mirror is flaking slightly so could do with a re-coat.
The primary mirror looks good and is very high quality.
If any interest is shown I would be prepared to take detailed photos
of the scope as requested.
How much is it worth? - I really don't know.
It cost me many 1000s of dollars but this is not
a world where you get your money back on such items.
Therefore - please make an offer and advise me of how much it's worth.
I'm short of space where I now live.
If I don't sell it in a month or so I will probably pull out the mirror
and focuser etc and sell all items as separate parts.
In which case the tube would be discarded.
cheers
Allan
