Sorry, I can't miss this one...
"savings" is a poor Americanism, and even they get it right sometimes
The term is "Daylight Saving Time" even there.
Meanwhile, here in Australia, it is Australian Eastern Daylight Time, etc., without any "savings" even mentioned.
I figured that's because Australians were inherently smarter
and knew the difference between something that is truly saved and something that is merely shifted in time...
