Yes, technically, food sharing, including the scenario you describe, can transmit Covid-19.

I guess, if you can be confident that your neighbour has no symptoms (especially coughing) and washed his/her hands in the correct manner for at least 20 seconds immediately prior to cutting and handling the cake, and before handling the plate and using the Glad Wrap (neither of which had been handled by anyone for some days prior to this), then you might be okay. Or, you could elect to leave the cake on its plate as is until it goes all stale and mouldy, by which time the viral particles would have decayed and you will probably be okay.
