Thanks for the links guys. I have IRIS and have played with it, but, yes, I have found it difficult to get into. I find it OK to follow the steps in the SDSS projects, but nothing's jelled enough for me to work it by myself.
I've book marked them and I'll have a look when gte some time to hav another go at IRIS!
