i looked at your screen shots and the first does not quite match mine , no camera information window on the LHS, see my pic at start of thread
. anyway i followed your instructions for image 1 and cancelled the camera model selection box and waited and waited . nothing happened the camera model box just disapppeared. image 4 and 5 are not the same as there is no camera iformation window on the lefthandside. the only change between 4 and 5 for me is the information on camera settings is displayed. all i can get to work is the image capture : manual/ automatic /long and short exposures. i tried opening up canon zoom browser /remote capture and started getting something happening between the two programs when i took pictures using the canon remote window to operate the camera. id hoped id be able to use this software to improve focus. incidently i tried the rogram on my desk top which is a p4 2.4mhz and just got the same results but quicker.am running xp on both.
