Dennis, I've got 4 options in terms of filters.. None, R, G or B. I didn't want to use None, because I wanted to block IR (the astronomiks have IR blocking built in).

Zac uses a Wratten #25a (red) filter, because he says it helps to combat some of the effects of bad seeing. Mike Wirths (on astromart forums) uses a green filter (probably for the same reason). So my using the green was more of an experiment.

However the experiment was ill-planned, because I didn't take an image of the same area with a different filter to be able to compare. If I understood more about how the different wavelengths are effected by seeing, then I might be able to more accurately answer your question.

Hopefully bird or Zac might be able to chip in.

Chuck reckons he might use one of my rille shots.. hope so.. He never ended up using my Plato mosaic
