This scope is in immaculate as-new condition. Purchased from Adelaide Optical in July 2018. Did not want to risk courier delivery so picked up (and inspected) at the shop.

The features of the scope include:
- 150mm ED lens element
- 1,200mm focal length (f8)
- Dual speed 2” focuser
- Tube rings with V-style dovetail
- 2” T-adapter with 48mm thread
- Canon T-ring
- Padded aluminium carry case

The focuser has no issues holding my Baader 2 inch diagonal and 31mm Nagler.

Original shipping box/packaging available as well.

The weight of the OTA, rings and dovetail is 9.6kg (bare OTA is 8.8kg).

This scope presents a beautiful star test, with concentric intra and extra focus airy rings.

I have had exquisite views of the planets and the moon with 5mm (240x) and 3.5mm (343x) XW eyepieces. In better seeing conditions I have cruised along the lunar terminator at 600x. Simply breathtaking!

I have attached a quick shot of the moon with my Olympus OM-D E-M5 (Bulb, ISO200, 1/400 exposure) attached to the Evostar 150ED, mounted to my Discmounts DM-6 (therefore no tracking). The photo is a colour jpeg straight off the camera with no processing.

The ONLY reason I have put this on the market is that I also have an Esprit 150ED and I cannot justify keeping two 6 inch apo's.

As this is quite a sizable and heavy package, I very much prefer local inspection/pickup.

I would entertain shipping, but freight/insurance would need to be organised and paid for by the purchaser at his/her risk.
