Massive smoke plume still to the south of us. The Namadgi fires could continue burning for up to 6 weeks. We got enough rain yesterday to make the lawn wet for 2 minutes before evaporating.
The DC-10 fire bombers x 2 are going pretty much 12 hours a day, in turns (one lands to refill/refuel whilst the other does a sortie).
The new flightpath approved for the DC-10's means a split-arse left turn off RWY 35 at 500ft, taking them almost over Parliament House. Shame they couldn't bomb them with retardant, but alas, they are retarded enough.
