Actually the minimal grease Lunt supplied is obviously just enough, about two thumbnail smears in a double plastic bag. So I would say the 50grams that Phil sent me will not be needed for sometime, but handy to have at the ready. So don't overgrease would seem to be Lunts message in their supply.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that changing the rings (one of which was clearly damaged) and regreasing has made a vast improvement.
