I'd suggest looking into setting up plate solving as well - it makes slewing to targets an absolute breeze - once I'm polar aligned I can get any target centered just about perfectly in my frame in a matter of seconds.
I currently use APT for capture, but it also helps me with flats, plate solving, focus, camera control. I suggest checking out if it might be for you.
