I have a couple of questions for you if I may:
1. Sounds like I already have the cable required, just a different version of that's all... I think the one I have comes from Sidereal Trading but, a look at the EQMod site seems to confirm this is the correct cable so (albeit only 3ft long vs 6ft), appears to be all good there; would you agree?
2. What is the maximum length USB to USB extension cable that can be used? I note you mention a 2m cable, can you get / use a longer one?
I'll look into the other software (ie: not the EQMod stuff as that's free).. I need to see this thing working initially in visual mode first to decide if I want to go this route for imageing or kinda stick with just the camera doing it's thing off an intervalometer...
I understand the benefits of switching to BYEOS & the additional functions & refinements... just not sure if I want to go there just yet...
