Okay, extremely basic question here...
So, I've just acquired an AZEQ6 mount secondhand & it has come with an EQMod (EQDirect?) cable of the EQDIRECT-USB-RJ-3.3V variety..
Looking at the EQMod page, am I correct that this cable incorporates the EQDirect module that they talk about.. ?
So... am I right in thinking that basically if I want to use EQMod for this mount (I've never owned a SW mount before) I download all the software/drivers from the EQ Mod page, link up my planetarium software (Stellarium) & then connect the USB end to my computer & the RJ45 end to the mount?
I assume I can use a USB to USB extension cable between the computer & the EQDirect cable if I want to extend the length.. (it's quite short).. Is this correct?
Not sure yet if I want to go this route; trying to minimise hardware footprint rather than increase it to be honest.. hence why I have a SW Synguider (although, I haven't got guiding yet..
)
Anything else I need to know?
