Quasars and Dyson Spheres

Quasars are black holes moving so fast that they have unbelievably high redshift right?
Dyson spheres are theorised spheres around stars that absorb all of the energy from the stars, and reemmit it as infrared right?
I came up with an idea that it might be possible that some of what we have identified as quasars could be dyson spheres, that instead of reducing light to a certain frequency, maybe they just reduce the energy of each photon that they absorb by a certain amount. I believe that this would give the illusion of a huge redshift, and would supply a huge amount of power for anyone using it.
Do light from quasars lose light intensity as they get further away? they are moving away at such a speed that they should, and if this is not the case, i believe that my theory should at least be considered.
