Thanks. I use eyepiece projection because I'm too cheap to buy a barlow lens - it was easier to build an adaptor for my 9-mm Nagler than to buy a barlow (you can see images of the adaptor in the book chapter in the publications section in my webpage). Also, I unscrew the buit-in 2X barlow in my 9-mm Nagler to make it an 18 mm. Only on good nights can I used it as a 9-mm eyepiece, in which case it gives f/42 with the SkyNyx.

My 12 inch is f/5.75 at prime focus so a 4 or 5X barlow will easily get it to above f/21.
