NGC 1851 Globular Cluster in Columba
After the thunderstorm and the dust haze cleared in Sydney last night went out and captured NGC 1851 Globular Cluster for the second time in 2 years
Located in the constellation of Columba this small compact cluster with a bright core shines at a magnitude of 7.5 and is approximately 35,000 light years from earth
60 x 1 minute dithered guided subs
25 x darks
6” f6 Bintel newt on an HEQ5 mount
Canon 600D with Baader coma corrector
Home made DSLR cooling fan ( sensor temperature dropped from 28 degrees at the start to 23 degrees after a few subs )
PHD2 guiding ( 1.50 to 1.70 arc sec error using PPEC Algorithm )
